High up on the 34th floor of Citibank Tower in Salcedo Village, Top of the Citi has an almost unimpeded view of the city skyline. Her reputation for excellent classic French, traditiona­l Filipino, and scrumptiou­s desserts is echoed in the restaurant’s menu. Reserve a table by the window, or in a quiet corner of the al fresco dining area if you’d like to feel the breeze. For a romantic dinner, you can’t go wrong with classics like her signature Smoked Salmon and Caviar Pie, Beef Carpaccio, the ingenious Alugbati Salad with Crunchy Prosciutto and Micro Arugula, a traditiona­l Caesar Salad, the old-school Tournedos Rossini, Duck a l’Orange, or her famous Crepe Samurai. Chef Jessie is also one of the few chefs who make excellent savory and dessert soufflés, that should not be missed.
