Four men –two of them brothers, a cousin, and uncle were arrested during a raid in San Juan City Thursday night for allegedly selling illegal drugs for several years now.

Senior Supt. Dindo Reyes, San Juan City Police chief, identified the suspects as Juan Jocarl Salvador Chua, 27; his brother Robert Joseph, alias RJ, 24; cousin Jason Chua; 28; and uncle Roberto Chua, 55.

Investigation showed that at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit implemented a search warrant for Jocarl, RJ and Jason inside their house at No. 48 San Marcos Street in Barangay San Perfecto, where the police said the suspects use as a drug den.

Judge Danilo Cruz of Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 152 issued the warrant.

Police said the raiding team found 32 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of 116,500 and several drug paraphernalia.

Reyes said the father of Juan and Robert allegedly started the illegal drug peddling in 2013 which became a sort of “family business,” but when their father died, the siblings took over the business.

The men are now detained and will be charged with violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
