COTABATO CITY (PNA) — Police authorities in the North Cotabato town of Matalam arrested early Saturday the town’s most wanted man during a law enforcement operation in Barangay Kibia.

Chief Supt. Eliseo Tam Rasco, Police Regional Office 12 (Soccsksargen), identified the arrested suspect as Willy delos Reyes Lumogdang, 43, a farmer and resident of Barangay Kibia.

Rasco said the Matalam police, headed by Chief Insp. Brian Placer, responded to a tip received from a concerned citizen that Lumogdang was sighted in the village.

After validating the intelligence report, police officers – armed with an arrest warrant for murder – came to Lumogdang’s home.

Lumogdang did not resist arrest but denied the charges against him, police said.
