SLEX extension

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Governor David C. Suarez assured that the Toll Road 4 project, or the Southern Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Extension, from Tiaong- Tayabas City- Quezon portion, will be completed soon. Suarez said he had recently talked with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar who gave him an update on the project. He said the provincial government was already in possession of almost 50 percent of property that needs to be expropriated from about 600 landowners who will be affected by the road right-of-way. This includes the property of Don Aldo Escudero, owner of Villa Escudero. Because of this development, Suarez also said he will be coordinating with mayors Marcelo Gayeta of Sariaya ,Macario Boonggaling of Candelaria, Ramon Preza of Tiaong and Ernida Reynoso of Tayabas City for their assistance as their towns will be affected by the road right-of-way acquisition for the project.
