Man abducted while having his car fixed found dead

Aman who was abducted on Thursday was found dead inside a sports utility vehicle (SUV) at Barangay 175, Caloocan City on Saturday morning.

Senior Supt. Restituto Arcangel, Caloocan City Police chief, identified the victim as Camar Tampla, 49, businessma­n.

On Thursday noon, the victim, with his wife Esnaira, was having his car fixed along Quirino Highway when three still unidentifi­ed men entered the car and sped away with Camar still inside.

Esnaira reported the abduction to the police on Thursday afternoon.

After monitoring of close circuit television footage (CCTV), the police found on Saturday the victim’s body inside his SUV along Camaro Street corner Holden Street, Brixton Ville, Barangay 175, Camarin, Caloocan City.

Cursory investigat­ion showed that the victim died of suffocatio­n, said Police Chief Inspector Joe Mar Ronquillo, Caloocan City Police Station Investigat­ion Unit chief.
