20,000 Households Gain Access to Clean Potable Water in Bohol

-

Without a doubt, the traffic flow in Metro Manila has become worse than ever in recent years, making commuting or driving among working Filipinos an inconvenient everyday experience.

According to a study revealed by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) in 2015, the agency estimated that resolving the frustrating traffic condition in Metro Manila might take another 15 years and cost USD 65 billion worth of investments.

While several solutions were already cited by the government and private institutions, we must face the truth that one of the main causes of the traffic in the metro is ourselves. Built during the American period, EDSA, for example, was limited to accommodate around 200,000 vehicles a day on ideal conditions.

Unfortunately, the major thoroughfare failed to catch up with the rapidly growing population of the metro, brought about by the increasing number of establishments and developments that provide employment, encouraging people to leave the countryside and reside in the already congested cities in Metro Manila.

Likewise, we must realize that each of us can contribute in resolving it in our own little way. One of the many solutions is by choosing to live in an apartment close to where we work or learn.

However, taking into account the multitude of apartment offerings out there, what are the steps that you should undertake in choosing the right apartment for you? Here are some of them.

Take advantage of the Internet. Thankfully, the Internet is a host of many platforms and websites where we could find a wide selection of apartments and other living spaces available for lease or sale. There's no need to scour a newspaper or a telephone directory.

Location, location, location. Logically, property websites provide information on the area or even the exact address where the apartment is actually located. Select at least five or more that are close to your office or school. Do not forget to consider the apartment's accessibility to public transportation, main roads, and other key establishments such as supermarkets and hospitals.

Make sure you can pay the bill. Property websites provide you a filter that allows you to choose in your shortlist the apartments that fit your budget. Be mindful that most property owners will ask you to pay a one-month deposit. Check out the amenities
