Three bricks and two sachets of suspected marijuana worth 1 30,000 were seized from two suspects in a buybust operation at Barangay 35, Caloocan City on Tuesday midnight.

Arrested were Russell Ariola, alias “Kadyo,” 25, resident of the area; and Karl Osila, 18, Alternative Learning Systems student, resident at G. De Jesus Street, Barangay 139, Caloocan.

Both of the suspects have not been included in the police’s drug watch list and are newly-identified drug personalities, police said.

Elements of the Caloocan City Police Station Drug Enforcement Agency (CCPSSDEU) conducted the sting at Ariola’s house along Talilong corner Talaba Streets in Caloocan.

Investigation showed that Ariola, the subject of the buybust operation, was arrested after a poseur-buyer bought a sachet of suspected dried marijuana fruiting tops worth 11,000 from him, while Osila was nabbed after police chanced upon him during a drug deal with Ariola.

Two sachets and three bricks of suspected dried marijuana fruiting tops weighing about 1.5 kilos and worth 130,000 were recovered from the suspects.

Also retrieved from the suspects were the 11,000 marked money and another 1 1,000 cash.

The suspects and pieces of evidence were brought to the CCPS-SDEU office for proper disposition.

The suspects will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
