Volkswagen Philippines introduced their new President at their media appreciation night last February 28 at the Resorts World Manila.

Their new President, Felipe Estrella III, joined Ayala Corporation in 2010 and has been the Chief Finance Officer of AC Industrials since 2017. His arrival at Volkswagen comes at a crucial time as Ayala Corporation expands its automotive business, AC Automotive, under AC Industrials. He plans to bring the German brand even closer to the Filipino people.

With the auto industry sales taking a 15 percent dip last year, Volkswagen still managed to sell 1,363 vehicles, as many units as 2017 and grew 67 percent since it set up shop in 2013. Estrella said they aim to beat their 2018 sales figures by at least 50 percent, confidently attainable with five new models, bolstered by three-year warranties for every model, and 10,000 kilometer periodic maintenance service intervals, making Volkswagen ownership convenient and cost-competitive.

It was also announced that Volkswagen will expand its eight dealerships to 12 within this year to be able to reach more existing and potential customers. The ninth dealer showroom will be opening soon in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

"By the end of 2019, we look forward to having a bigger, better, and more relevant Volkswagen Philippines powered by the many smiles on our customer’s faces because their drives just got better,” said new Volkswagen President, Felipe Estrella III.
