Tourism, trade expo opens
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — The ongoing 12th Pangasinan Tourism and Trade Expo at the Capitol beachfront in Lingayen offers a wide-array of consumer products and services.
The expo, which showcases local products from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), has become a significant part of the annual Pistay Dayat celebration.
Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) chief Malu Elduayan said the expo was transferred to a bigger area beside the Capitol Resort Hotel because the number of exhibitors increased and more visitors are expected to come.
This year, there are 200 exhibitors and entrepreneurs, including those from the plants and garden exhibits.
The plants and garden exhibit showcases bonsai plants, ornamentals, and fruit bearing plants, and some garden displays.
The local government also has a booth offering products under the One-Town, One-Product (OTOP) program.
