LARGER THAN LIFE
Toy Kingdom brings in the country’s first-ever giant Monopoly game
There’s no activity more exciting than one that involves the whole family. So when Toy Kingdom recently brought the country’s firstever giant Monopoly game to SM Supermalls, families were more than on board to try it out!
Celebrity parents Barbie Almalbis-Honasan, Joy Sotto, Priscilla Meirelles-Estrada and Luigi Muhlach and their respective families got to play the larger-than-life game first-hand at SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia.
As board game enthusiasts know, Monopoly is a fast dealing property trading game by Hasbro where players roll two dice to move around the board game. Purchasing and trading properties as well as turning them into houses and hotels are part of the game. There are also various chance and community chest cards and tax squares where players can earn or pay money.
Rolling the two huge dice and walking through the life-sized board game boxes, celebrity guests enjoyed a friendly competition with one another. While the game has the usual property squares in the Monopoly board, it also included Philippine and SM themed property squares such as: Light Rail Transit, Seaside Boulevard, SM MOA Arena and SM by the Bay, adding more thrill to the game!
Toy Kingdom’s first giant Monopoly was also opened to the public where both kids and kids at heart got to play the life-sized board game with their families and friends.
