CREBA, La Salle real estate law course opens Aug. 31
The Chamber of Real Estate & Builders’ Associations Inc. (CREBA), in partnership with the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde School of Professional and Continuing Education (DLS-CSB SPACE), will open the certificate course on “Land Laws and Property Titling” on Aug. 31.
The course is the second of six modules under the Executive Diploma Program in Real Estate Management (EDPREM) offered by the two institutions since 2002.
Classes will be held at the ninth floor of the CSB School of Design and Arts Campus located at P. Ocampo Street, Manila from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will run for four consecutive Saturdays until Sept. 21.
CREBA, headed by national president Noel Toti M. Cariño, is the Philippine umbrella organization of the real estate and housing industry composed of property developers, builders, contractors, suppliers and manufacturers of construction materials, realty service practitioners and other professionals and entities engaged in over 70 allied fields.
The joint CREBA-De La Salle program covers the entire aspect of the highly-complex and multi-disciplinary field of real estate development and management.
The course topic includes: Legal Aspects of Land Titling, Acquisition, Transfer and Registration of Land Ownership; Legal Aspect of Mortgage and Foreclosure & Remedies; Contractual Transactions on Property: Sale, Loan & Lease (Elements of Contract Law, Salient Points of Sale, Loan & Lease; Laws on Estate & Succession; HLURB: Jurisdiction, Registration, Adjudication, Monitoring & Clearances, with discussion on HOA (Evolution of Law creating HLURB and its Rules of Procedures);
Land Developers & Buyers: Obligations, Rights & Remedies (Pertinent Provisions on Sales, Warranties; PD 957, 12 July 1976 & RA 6552, 26 Aug. 1972, The Maceda
Law & RA 9904, 07 January 2010); Land Classification, Reclassification & Conversion with DARAB Rules of Procedure and Issues and Jurisprudence on Subdivisions and Condominiums (HOAs and CondoCorps).
Other courses offered for the rest of the year tackle Effective Real Estate Marketing Tools, Real Estate Planning, Development & Environmental Concerns, Highest and Best Uses for Real Estate, Real Estate Financial Planning and Management and Real Estate Project Feasibility Studies.
CREBA national chairman Charlie A.V. Gorayeb said that participants are awarded certificates for each course attended, while a diploma is earned by successfully completing all six EDPREM modules.
