Games Today (Mall of Asia Arena) 2 p.m. – UE vs La Salle 4 p.m. – Ateneo vs FEU

Ateneo stakes its unbeaten record against Far Eastern University (FEU) today in UAAP season 82 men’s basketball at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Game is at 4 p.m. with the Eagles seeking their fourth victory.

Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin said they needed to work on a lot of things especially on getting his players settle into their roles after coming off a 71-70 squeaker against University of Santo Tomas last Wednesday.

“Our roster is not, you know, clicking on all cylinders yet,” he said. “And that needs to happen if we want to go up another notch."

Baldwin expects another challenging game against FEU, which is out to improve its 1-1 card following an 81-65 drubbing of University of the East last week.

“We have to get our minds focused next,” Baldwin said, hoping that they’ll improve on their rebounding problems.

Comprising Ateneo’s core will be Third Ravena, Ange Kouame, brothers Matt and Mike Nieto, and Isaac Go.

FEU coach and former Ateneo star Olsen Racela, for his part, will rely on his young but agile guards in matching up Ateneo’s experienced crew.

“We play every play, play every possession. That’s our goal and it’s going to be a collective effort,” Racela said, relying on Wendell Comboy and LJ Gonzales to steer his squad.

Meanwhile, La Salle aims for a follow-up win after National University when it battles winless UE at 2 p.m.
