WOSAS 2019 TO HOST FIRST-EVER SECUCON FEATURING PROMINENT INDUSTRY LEADERS
Recognizing the need to elevate the standard of safety and security in the country, the World of Safety and Security Expo (WOSAS) is back on its third year for another compelling presentation. Committed to consistency, attendees of this year’s expo can expect to find no less than a diverse product profile and an extensive array of product and service innovations that will ensure the well-being of communities and industries.
WOSAS will also be hosting pocket events and activities that all aim to encourage the productive exchange of knowledge. One highlight is the first-ever SecuCon, a series of free seminars that seeks to provide show attendees, stakeholders, and beneficiaries with a venue to enhance and disseminate relevant information about the industry. Topics to be discussed will focus on fire safety and earthquake preparations. The seminar theme aims at raising awareness about the value of disaster preparedness especially among commercial personnel and the general public.
The SecuCon 2019 is free and open to the public and will happen on September 27 to 28 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Registrations will be available from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on both days of the seminars.
On September 27, the topics to be discussed include: Pre-emergency preparedness by LifJewel ecast International Corporation’s director, Eric Yam; Corporate Security and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design by crime safety specialist Shamir Rajadurai; and criminal behavior by Ernyros Manlangit.
On September 28, Col. Mateo Luga PA (RET) will talk on “The Changing Role of Security”; CSSMAP president Michael Angelo Datuin will offer his insights on the “Importance of Security and Safety”; and CSSMAP vice president, Engr. Eulogio Reyes will discuss about the “Importance of Safety.”
