Make your place healthier

Say goodbye to stale smelling rooms

- By PAOLA NAVARETTE

The air you breathe in your home or office may be hazardous to your health—more dangerous, in fact, than the outdoor air in the most polluted of cities. A report from the World Health Organization noted that most people spend up to 90 percent of their day indoors, where the air quality could be up to 10 times worse than that outdoors.

Indoor air pollution has been linked to a wide variety of adverse health effects, including headaches, eye irritation, frequent colds, sore throats, chronic cough, respiratory problems, skin rashes, lethargy, dizziness, and memory lapses.

Long-term effects may include an increased risk of cancer. Though children, the elderly, and those with chronic ailments like asthma, allergies, and heart and lung diseases seem especially vulnerable, symptoms may also occur in otherwise normal, healthy persons.

Invisible to the naked eye, it is the ultrafine and potentially harmful particles such as pollen, pet hair, allergens, and gases from cooking that can travel easily through the air that surrounds us. US-based air purification systems company Air Intellipure offers the best possible solution to purifying the air people breathe at home and establishments.

Utilizing technology developed through a United States military grant, the professional line of Intellipure air cleaning products is the only system to effectively address all three pollutant categories namely micro-organisms, volatile organic compounds, and particles. It has also been proven to capture 99.99 percent of particles as small as .007 micron in size through its multi-stage filtration.

“The immediate benefits of using an Intellipure machine include a significant reduction of airborne particles in the space. In less than one hour, your environment will have better air quality readings,” Air Intellipure founder Nick

Gitsis said. “As for long-term benefits, these include better sleep, the alleviation of symptoms linked to allergies and asthma, lower risk for respiratory infections, and a decreased risk of heart and lung diseases.”

The Intellipure Ultrafine 468, priced at ₧89,000, features the proprietary disinfecting filtration system (DFS) technology, which traps and eliminates potentially harmful ultrafine particles in the indoor air at 40 times the efficiency of a highefficiency particulate air filter.

Compact utilizes the same patented DFS technology used in the Intellipure Ultrafine 468. The simple, stylish design complements any bedroom or small living space decor below 500 square feet. It is ultraquiet and has been specially designed to deal with ultrafine particles and medium to high gas and odor adsorption.

Ideal for areas with strong odor problem like cigarette smoke, the Ultrafine 468 Plus, priced at ₧99,000, includes all the features of the standard unit plus a photocatalytic oxidation bulb that increases the efficiency in eliminating harmful chemicals and volatile organic compounds.

“We spend the majority of our lives indoors—especially in the city. It’s time we made it healthier. I’m happy to be able to bring these amazing products to others who I know have been looking for the best solution to indoor air quality,” Gitsis added.
