H&M’s latest collaboration brings a modern Renaissance touch to the Filipino closet

Giambattista Valli x H&M first made headlines last May in Cannes with personalities and artists such as Jenner,
(Li Yuchun),
Chris Lee Chiara Ferragni, H.E.R., Bianca Brandolinid’Adda,
Ross Lynch
and walked the red carpet wearing the pieces from the collection at its launch.
Born and raised in Rome, Giambattista Valli launched his namesake line in Paris in 2005. His universe now encompasses ready-to-wear, haute couture, and accessories. The collaboration with H&M is the first of its kind for Valli and also marks Valli’s first foray into menswear.
“I am excited about this collaboration. H&M gives me the opportunity to bring my vision of style and my celebration of beauty to a wider audience,” says the Valli. “The goal is to share my love for beauty and to be able to be part of everyone’s ‘happy moments,’ and to help create love
stories all around the world.”
The collection features
Valli’s romantic aesthetic from the deep red tulle en masse frock to dark florals and a cross on romantic and bohemian pieces for the women. For men, he designed Baroqueinspired jackets, sweatshirts printed with Renaissance art, and dazzling items and faunainspired pieces that are also gender fluid.
