Here are today’s featured readers and their photos.
Carl Michael D. Floranza, Grade 12 ABM SHS student at the LSPU-SPCC shares his photo titled “Musmos.”
From Carlo G. Caharian, a college student studying Bachelor of Library and Information Science at the Bestlink College of the Philippines is the photo, “Interpretation of Dreams.”
He shares: “I am a street photographer based in Manila. Most of my works are expressing the reality of the world and I capture meaningful moments using my camera to address social commentary and observational reality.”
Regular contributor Leo B. Dilay sent in an untitled photo of a market bag vendor by his student CJ Javier. The photo won in the recent Social Science Month 2019 Photography contest with the theme, Humanity in Actions.
The photo, “Ruby Masskara Festival” comes from Denzel Eileen DC Evangelista. She writes: “Ruby Masskara Festival was held on October 27 in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, also known as the City of Smiles. Salute to all the participants, on duty police and army who stayed even when it was raining. Your hard work is very much appreciated.”
Working Mom Elsie E. Royo submitted a photo of her only child enjoying the beach. “It melts my heart to see how happy he is playing with the waves,” joyfully shares Elsie.
Emily J. Sepe, a mom and photo hobbyist who is self-employed contributed the long-exposure photo, “Manila Post Office at Night.” Her photo description reads: “The Manila Post Office Building stands proudly along the banks of the Pasig River and has witnessed many of the nation’s historical events from the American occupation to the battle of Manila in 1945 up to the present time.”
From John Paul Corton is the motorcycle race photo, “Finish Line.” “I took this photo during the 72nd Charter Day of Ormoc City,” writes John Paul. “This motocross event was participated in by the best racers in the region. It was my rst time to cover a race like this and it was not easy to take a photo of a fast moving subject but I nailed this money shot. I called this money shot because I didn’t have better shots until I captured this one epic moment. Patience is the key in sports photography.”
The photo, “Butil” comes from Grade 11 young journalist Kzuzvan Kay E. Casabal.
BPO employee Nelson Moreno shares “A Little Piece of Heaven.” Nelson took the photo in Tanay, Rizal on his birthday on November 9.
And from Ramil Gregorio is the group photo, “Mandaya Tribe.” His photo description states: “Proud of their culture, the youth of Manay wear their traditional Mandaya garb during the AgriCultural Tourism Fair of the 122nd Araw ng Manay and Parochial Fiesta in the Municipality of Manay.” The town is situated in Davao Oriental.
