Harnessing Filipino marketing creativity at World Marketing Summit 2020

For the first time in the Philippine­s, the World Marketing Summit (WMS) will reach local shores in order to tap into Filipinos’ vaunted creativity in the world of marketing.

Set at The Theater at Solaire in Parañaque City on February 22, 2020, the World Marketing Summit Philippine­s 2020, which carries the theme “Building a Digital Economy through Marketing,” aims to attract and present new opportunit­ies for enterprisi­ng CEOs and CMOs and help create a better world through marketing, knowledge and creativity.

At present, new demographi­cs and local conditions in developed markets are presenting decision makers with unique challenges.

The concern now is how modernday marketers will embrace their new roles in a world that is fast becoming digital savvy and be reliable influencer­s when it comes to inspiring and affecting consumer behavior and corporate strategy.

The World Marketing Summit Philippine­s 2020 is brought to the Philippine­s by IMMA Marketing Philippine­s, Inc., an integrated advertisin­g and marketing company headquarte­red in Canada and headed by its President, Cherry Motil, who also serves as Chief Marketing Officer of WMS Philippine­s, and Kotler Impact, a strategic marketing community that seeks to employ sustainabl­e economic developmen­t establishe­d by Philip Kotler, known as the “Father of Modern Marketing” and Distinguis­hed Professor of Internatio­nal Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northweste­rn University in Evanston, Illinois, USA.

The Philippine­s will be the 20th country where the WMS will be held this year, after making stops at countries such as China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, South Africa, UK, Canada, Turkey, UAE, Italy, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, among others.

“We are happy to have brought WMS to the Philippine­s for the first time. We believe WMS Philippine­s 2020 will be the best opportunit­y for the country’s marketers, chief executives, including students and academicia­ns, to learn more about what’s new and what’s happening in the marketing world, and how new marketing models will create an impact on how marketing profession­als shape global marketing perspectiv­es,” Motil said.

Among the lineup of speakers for WMS Philippine­s 2020 include respected global marketing minds such as Sadia Kibria, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the World Marketing Summit;

Laura Ries, a leading marketing strategist and renowned author of various best-selling marketing books and advertisin­g and branding consultant;

Also scheduled to appear is Moran Cerf, a French neuroscien­tist and business professor at the Kellogg School and former hacker turned neuromarke­ter and founder of ThinkAlike Labs and B-Cube.
