PNR readies markers

- By EMMIE V. ABADILLA

The Philippine National Railways (PNR) has placed markers on areas inside the trains, as well as on station platforms where passengers are allowed to either sit, or stand in line.

The presence of signages, tarpaulins and other information materials will be utilized to ensure the firm implementation of health and safety protocols such as the social distancing measure, which requires passengers to be one meter apart at platform areas, inside train cars, and when using elevators and escalators.

These initiatives are done in preparation for the possible resumption of operations of PNR with reduced capacity, pursuant to IATF and DOH Guidelines, and once mass transport is allowed, with the lifting of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) imposed in Metro Manila.
