EXO leader Suho starts military service

Suho, leader of K-pop boy band EXO, entered the Nonsan Nonsan Army Training Center in South Chungcheon­g province, South Korea few days ago to start his military service.

While SM Entertainm­ent did not disclose the time and place of his enlistment, about 100 EXO fans gathered outside the army camp, according to Korean media.

The 28-year-old singer and actor is the third member of EXO to fulfill the mandatory duty after Xiumin and D.O.

On the EXO fan community on the Lysn app, pictures of Suho with fellow EXO members were uploaded. The photos showed Suho with short hair together with Chanyeol, Chen, Kai, Baekhyun and Sehun.

Lay Zhang, another member of EXO, also uploaded the photo on his Instagram story with the caption “Let’s love.”

At the camp, Suho will undergo four weeks of basic military training before he is assigned as a public service worker.

Earlier this month, Suho announced his enlistment to fans, saying, “I’ll be serving my military service from May 14. I’ll definitely miss you so much while I’m there, EXO-L . Stay healthy until I return. I sincerely thank you for everything, and love you so much. We are one, EXO! Let’s love!” SBS Star reported.

He released his debut solo album “Self-Portrait” on March 30, which sold 212,101 copies in the first week of release. He debuted in EXO in 2012.
