Marijuana burned

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Joint government forces uprooted and burned over 1100,000 worth of marijuana plants in in the hinterland of Kibungan, Benguet, and Sagada, Mt Province. A total of 100 fully grown marijuana plants with an estimated value of 120,000 was uprooted in Sitio Moling, Palina, Kibungan, Benguet. In Sitio Ayos, Barangay Fedilizan, Sagada, Mountain Province, a total of 230 fully grown marijuana worth 192,000 were uprooted by joint operatives of the police and military. The troops burned the marijuana plants on-site, and only samples were brought for evidentiary purposes. (Zaldy Comanda)
