BSP offers 18-month training program

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) opened an 18-month Young Profession­al Program (YPP) for “high potential young profession­als in relevant fields” and to “expose potential central bank associates to BSP’s objectives, functions, and operations.” BSP Governor Benjamin E. Diokno said: “With this program, we are not only able to train future central bankers, but also share with them the relevance and impact of BSP within the context of the Philippine society.” The program is open to individual­s with master’s degrees in: Communicat­ions, Economics, Finance, Statistics/Mathematic­s, Data Science, Informatio­n Technology, Industrial Engineerin­g, or related courses. The BSP said qualified applicants will be hired as “Central Bank Associates” and will undergo training, onboarding, and mentoring. (Lee C. Chipongian)
