VISION OF SUMMER THROUGH HUAWEI P40 PRO’S #VisionaryPhotography
Set your sights on the country’s scenic sites with Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone
THE SUMMER SEASON is now upon us. Perhaps, we had been planning to travel since the onset of 2020, but unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic came and we have to stay at home. Still, we bet that many of us would still push their plans once the quarantine ends.
With over 7,000 islands scattered across the Philippines, we are blessed with so many scenic tourist hotspots to visit where we can enjoy natural or man-made attractions to relax and help us beat the summer heat.
But one thing is inevitable: you cannot visit these places and enjoy your stay without bringing a smartphone with an excellent camera with you. Just in time for the season, the Huawei P40 Pro has arrived with the promise of #VisionaryPhotography.

Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone features the advanced Ultra Vision Leica camera system. The Huawei P40 Pro comes with a 50MP 1/1.28-inch sensor with a binned pixel size measuring 2.44μm, the largest camera sensor ever embedded in a Huawei smartphone.
With a large CMOS sensor and pixel size, the Huawei P40 Pro can gather more light, resulting in better dynamic range, more accurate color, and richer tonal reproduction. So whether you are shooting at Boracay Island in broad daylight or Calle Crisologo at night, you get the most
detailed images and remarkable lowlight photos.
Huawei P40 Pro’s main camera sensor boasts another first: Full Pixel Octa PD AutoFocus. It’s like autofocus on steroids. With the capability to focus faster on your target, you get crisp shots even when your subject moves quickly. Imagine taking shots of surfers and waves in Baler or Siargao.
The Huawei P40 Pro features the 5x Optical Telephoto Camera with AI Image Stabilization, which also supports 10x hybrid zoom and 50x maximum zoom. In professional cameras, telephoto lenses are among the largest and the longest. In the case of Huawei’s telephoto camera, it employs the periscope design so the device remains slim. Whether you’re shooting a closeup of the Philippine eagle in Davao or zooming into the details of the Banaue Rice Terraces, you get only impressive shots. And how about portraits? With the Huawei P40 Pro, portraits remain bright and crystal-clear whether its backlight or low light. Skin tone enhancement and bokeh add more dramatic effects to P40 Pro’s portraits. The smartphone includes a 32MP AF Camera, IR Depth Camera, as well as ambient light and proximity sensors, allowing users to capture even minute facial details and record 4K 60fps UHD videos.
Speaking of videos, the Huawei P40 Pro allows you to record dramatic movies with the Ultra Wide Cine Camera. With this feature, you can slow down the pace of time by recording ultra slow-motion videos at 7680fps. This mode creates footage that plays out at the actual speed, so you can come up with more dramatic action videos, ideal if you’re planning to do whitewater rafting in Cagayan de Oro with your family or friends.
Maximizing AI in the imaging department, Huawei P40 Pro features Huawei Golden Snap which comes with AI Remove Passerby, AI Remove Reflection, and AI Best Moment. These post-processing functions allow you to remove or crop out unwanted details on your photos like photobombers and glare or reflection for impeccable outputs.
Golden Snap also uses AI algorithm to analyze the frames taken before, during, and after pressing the shutter button and pick out the best frames based on an extensive library of photos. This feature becomes useful in images that involve fast moving subjects.
Beyond #VisionaryPhotography
Introducing directional audio zoom, the Huawei P40 Pro allows you to zoom in on an audio source and amplify its sound at the same time. In this feature, the smartphone does sound localization by gauging the intensity difference of input from the three microphones located at the top, bottom, and back of the device. Apart from improved audio reception, directional audio zoom also effectively reduces audio noise from sound-emitting subjects outside of the focus.
The Huawei P40 Pro also offers remarkable image quality for video calls with Huawei MeeTime on EMUI 10.1. Leveraging the smartphone’s hardware and software prowess, MeeTime delivers video calls in 1080p Full HD with intelligent light adjustment feature for excellent low-light performance.
While on a video call, MeeTime doesn’t only share your screen with the other party but also both of you can mark-up on the screen for virtual meetings and multi-screen collaboration so the other person on the line can follow you every step of the way. MeeTime also supports third-party devices, like action cameras, and connects to Huawei smart devices like Huawei Sound X and Huawei Vision so you can continue using MeeTime on a bigger screen
What further makes the Huawei P40 Pro more holistic and versatile, it brings to you a full array of useful mobile applications through Huawei AppGallery. The third biggest fastgrowing app store with 180 billion downloads and 390 monthly active users worldwide, Huawei AppGallery houses many of the essential apps that you need for productivity (Microsoft Office, WPS Office), communication (Facebook, Viber, WeChat, WhatsApp), finance (BDO Personal Banking, GCash, PayMaya), and shopping (Lazada, Shopee, Zalora).
At the core of all of these great features, the Huawei P40 Pro comes with the Kirin 990 5G, the world’s first flagship 5G system-on-chip (SoC). This SoC works together with the Ultra Vision Leica camera system to deliver the P40 Pro’s #VisionaryPhotography. With a 5G modem built inside the chip, the Huawei P40 Pro also brings to you industry-leading 5G connectivity that allows you to stream and download fast graphically-rich content like games and movies with better power efficiency.
