From Itbayat in Batanes down to Sitangkai in Tawi-Tawi, police stations around the country are now interconnected with the launching of a digital communication platform for all the official correspondence within the Philippine National

Police (PNP).

Dubbed as the PNP One Network and PNP Email System, the project is aimed at expediting the communication and sharing of documents relating to peace and order across the country, according to PNP Chief Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa.

“The PNP One Network and the PNP Email System are now officially activated as the most tangible manifestation of the PNP’s digital transformation and strongest response to the pressing need to adapt to the new normal through full use of Information and Communications Technology,” said Gamboa.

Gamboa said the project put the PNP in the company of the government’s digital transformation elite agencies, alongside the Department of Finance, Social Security System (SSS), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), and the Department of Science and Technology, which utilize an autonomous system using the Border Gateway Control.

Gamboa said the PNP Email System serves as a secured and reliable digital communications platform for all official correspondence of PNP units and individual PNP personnel who will be issued a lifetime official email account that will be used to log-in to all PNP Information Systems

“Digital copies of all personnel transaction documents such as Special Orders, Medical Records training Certificates, as well as official announcements and notices will be individually received by PNP personnel through this platform,” said Gamboa.
