HOME BUYING BECOMES DIGITAL

Century Properties’ home ownership program makes the experience safer and less stressful

- By PINKY CONCHA COLMENARES

It did not take long for the property market to adapt to the change. Now, a major purchase for an investment or one’s home can be done online. Even a tripping to look at the property is now an online experience.

The way technology has taken over the missing spaces in our lives is amazing. In only five months, people have changed the way they live, work, socialize, shop, worship, and do business.

In only about half of a year, older people who had been ignoring gadgets, the internet, emails, Messenger, Viber, Instagram, the online news, and anything connected to the digital world, have acknowledged that there’s a new world somewhere out there in cyberspace.

The lockdown in March changed all that. Suddenly, shopping for essentials and little touches of luxury was made online. The once forgotten sound of the doorbell became a constant because of the online purchases delivered by Grab and Lalamove riders.

Sunday worship is done online. Business meetings and social gatherings are done through Zoom. Talk about the weather and anxiety is exchanged through online messages. Even consulting medical professionals is done through tele-medicine.

It did not take long for the property market to adapt to the change. Now, a major purchase for an investment or one’s home can be done online. Even a tripping to look at the property is now an online experience.

Properties has made the process of home ownership safer and less stressful with its Century Client Assistance program to introduce helpful tools and proprietary systems that will improve the home buying experience.

The program comes at a time when people’s view on property has also shifted to other factors other than location, such as a safe and healthy environment, after the lessons learned from the quarantine period.

The program allows clients to scout for a unit through virtual tours in the company’s project websites. There, they can view ready-for-occupancy (RFO) units at the Residences at Commonwealth in QC, the Residences at Azure North in San Fernando, Pampanga; Acqua Private Residences in Mandaluyong City, and the near RFO Batulao Artscapes in Batangas.

Available units can be accessed in real time through the company’s online portal and reservations can be made using various online payment facilities.

After the client makes a decision on a property, Century has facilitated an easy process for the buyer to complete the requirements and accomplish buyer forms from home. The company also provides a comprehensive guide to bank financing, as well as assistance to facilitate home loan applications.

Even the turnover of units can be done as a digital turnover, which will be a convenience to buyers who are overseas and to those who prefer to limit their exposure outside. This makes the entire home buying process–from unit shopping down to documentation, bank financing, and unit turnover–hassle-free.
