Virtual Ironkids final leg all set

The Alaska Fortified Ironkids Virtual Run will hold its last leg on Oct. 17-18 as part of their campaign to keep kids active despite the pandemic.

The all-digital running program for kids is part of the Alaska Ironkids Philippine­s Keep Fit at Home program which consists of virtual races and activities.

Weekly video on demand online episodes featuring tips and techniques on how to keep fit at home are available for participan­ts to prepare for their virtual runs.

Among those host of these videos are Alaska Fortified Ironkids Director Ani de Leon-Brown, veteran triathlon champion August Benedicto, and Australian champions Dimity Lee Duke and Sam Betten.

De Leon-Brown will be teaching morning exercises on Oct 17.

The virtual runs are open for participan­ts as young as four years old up to 14 years old in various age group categories. Major distance events are 1K, 1.5K, 2K and 3K.
