The peso closed lower at ₱48.085 to the US dollar yesterday from ₱48.054 the previous day. The weighted average rate depreciated to ₱48.076 from ₱48.047. Total volume amounted to $1.090.3 billion, according to the Bankers Association of the Philippines.
