Big (literally) on in-car entertainment

-

Suzuki may frequently call itself the pioneer small car maker, but there’s nothing small about the brand when it comes to their in-car entertainment systems. Becoming a trademark with Suzuki cars is their penchant for massive touchscreen systems that give drivers and passengers unparalleled real estate to enjoy the drive.

Ertiga and XL7

Vitara AllGrip

In the case of the Vitara AllGrip (4x4) the massive 10-inch toushscreen has an added functionality as well. It can function as a clinometer that tells the driver the vehicle’s position in terms of pitch and roll angles. These readouts are particularly handy when tackling challenging terrain off the beaten path.

Designed from the ground out compatibility with gadgets, there should be no worry about running out of charge when in a Suzuki. The Vitara boasts of up to three 12-volt accessory sockets (front, second row, and third row), as well as a USB port (in front).

Ciaz

Even Suzuki’s citybound offerings have comparable entertainment systems. In the Ciaz sedan, an eightinch infotainment system features the same readability, large fonts, and icons as the other models. It also improved compatibility with Apple Car Play and Android Auto for more functions.

Dzire

Last but certainly not the least is the Dzire. Like the other Suzuki models, it too gets a large infotainment system. Fitted in the dashboard is a sseven-inch touch screen audio system. The display is large, easy to read, and intuitive to use. Best of all, it’s compatible with smart phones and mobile devices.

This isn’t the only novel gadget in the Dzire. Making this car ideal for first-time buyers is the variant fitted with Suzuki’s unique Auto-Gear Shift (AGS) transmission. It combines the benefits of an automatic transmission with a manual. The AGS is an automated manual, and as such only requires the same low maintenance of a manual transmission with the convenience of an automatic. It allows drivers to choose between manual and automatic modes, making it easy to switch depending on traffic. Simply leave it in ‘D’ for autofor matic mode, or ‘M’ for manual. Shifting up or down is done by sliding the stickshift up or down as well.

There’s no penalty to fuel consumtion. In fact, during a fuel economy run conducted in 2019 with the assistance of Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), the Dzire AGS achieved an average of 25.81 Km/L.

You don’t have to skip out on high-tech features when opting for a small car. With Suzuki, you get tech on par with larger, more expensive models, but with better practicality and fuel efficiency.
