K Brosas opens up about depression
An emotional K Brosas has revealed that she suffered from panic attacks after the house contractor allegedly abandoned the project for almost one year now.
“Hindi ko na po alam kung nasaan na yung contractor ng bahay ko. Na-stress ako at nagka-panic attack na ako dahil sa kanya. One year na ako nakikipag-usap sa kanila na baka kung puwede isoli na lang yung pera pero walang nangyari,” (I don’t know the whereabouts of the contractor. It gives me stress and panic attacks. I’ve been trying to connect with the contractor but to no avail),” said K Brosas when she met the press via Zoom on Sunday, Sept. 12.
The singer-actress said that she got depressed when she saw her house being built in Quezon City in a sorry state after the pandemic.
“Binista ko yung bahay na pinapagawa ko after the pandemic. Nanghina ako noong nakita ko yung property,” (I really got depressed when I saw the house being built after the pandemic),” she revealed.
K Brosas said that she already gave a total of ₱7 million for the house project. She added that she was able to give the whole amount in one year. But the contractor was able to build only 35 percent of the house.
“Pinag-ipunan ko yun at wala akong loan. Pamana ko dapat sa anak ko yung house. Simple lang yung bahay, (I saved my money to build the house. I want my daughter to inherit the property. It’s a simple house),” she said.
The contractor, whom she refused to identify pending the filing of the complaint to the court, was recommended by a friend. “But I would like to point out that my friend has nothing to do with it.”
“Now I am back to zero at nagiipon na naman uli ako para mapagawa ko na ang bahay ko,” (Now I am saving money again to build this house),” she said. The showbiz personality added that she has hired another contactor to check the unfinished property.
K Brosas also refused to discuss the details of her complaint. “Kahit yung kaso na sinampa ko hindi ko talaga puwede sabihin kasi nag-file na ako.”
Asked about lessons learned, K Brosas said: “These days, I always seek the help of lawyers. Dati hindi ako mahilig makipag-usap sa mga abogado. Pero this time, lahat ng galaw ko lalo na sa career, dinadaan ko na sa abogado.”
When asked how she would like to settle the case, she said: “Bahala na ang mga lawyer ko kung paano nila dapat ayusin ang problem na ito.” (My lawyers will take care of
case, and they know what’s best for me). K Brosas, 46, is currently seen as one of the hosts of the noontime program “Lunch Out Loud” on TV5. She will also be seen as one of the hosts for the reality singing competition “Sing Galing!” also on the Kapatid Network.
