Sylvia Sanchez explores single mom’s role

-

Award-winning actress Sylvia Sanchez plays the role of a single mother named Marivic who is working hard to support her three children.

Sylvia said she can easily relate to the role being a working mom to four children in real life, including her second child and “Misis Piggy” co-star

Ria Atayde who plays her eldest daughter on the show.

Sylvia also revealed her experience working for the first time with Carlo Catu, the writer and director of the project.

“First day pa lang, importante kasi sa akin yung collaboration, palaging aktor at director. First day, first time naming nagkita. Collaboration yun para maging okay,” she said.

Last year, Sylvia revealed her plans to take a break from showbiz after doing the popular drama series “Huwag Kang Mangamba” where she played the role of Barang, a differently abled beggar. The veteran actress said nothing has changed with her plans, even with the addition of her current series “Misis Piggy” to her portfolio this year.

Habang ginagawa yung pa-ending, nagsabi ako na after nito, what’s next na serye?

As KC Concepcion marked a new milestone in her career as an actress, her mega mom Sharon Cuneta reposted a video that features a montage of old photos and clips of KC.

In the caption, Sharon shared how proud she is of KC for being part of “an all-Asian, mostly Pinoy Hollywood movie.”

“My eldest @kristinaconcepcion now doing an all-Asian, mostly Pinoy Hollywood movie. Tina, I am proud of you! Show the world what you’ve got!” she said.

It was April 2021 when it was confirmed that KC was taking on the leading actress role in the romanticcomedy film. Toni Gonzaga-Soriano was originally set to play the lead character, but had to drop out due to “schedule conflicts.”

KC, who is set to star alongside Dante Basco, confirmed the news through a post on Instagram. ‘Thank you for joining us on this new journey. Grateful to be part of this Asian-American project, with our amazing cast and crew,” KC said in an interview with ABSCBN News. “I’m very happy na nung binasa ko pa lang yung script, na feel ko agad na this is for me. It was the perfect role for a romantic-comedy na matagal ko nang gustong gawin. It was so perfect and to come back with this project.. nakaka-proud,” KC added.
