Villar City unveils symbolic tree as it ushers new era of progress
The 3,500-hectare Villar City heralds the start of the joyous Christmas season with the lighting of a symbolic tree at the heart of this emerging destination.
On Tuesday night, tycoon Manny Villar led the lighting of the Villar City's Heritage Tree, a 40-year-old acacia tree that has stood sturdily through seasons, serving as a beacon of hope and a testament to one man’s resilience.
Indeed, Villar City's Heritage Tree is a fitting reflection of the real estate magnate’s remarkable journey and his staunch commitment to provide what Filipinos rightfully deserve—worldclass, themed communities inspired by some of the most picturesque cities globally. It also stands as a powerful symbol of a man's unwavering resilience in the face of adversity, a testament to his steadfast dedication to deliver the best for every Filipino.
Beautiful prelude
A soothing serenade by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra Quartet served as a beautiful prelude to the lighting of Villar City's Heritage Tree, while a short video revealed the meticulous work done to restore this symbolic tree’s vitality and splendor.
“Revitalizing this Heritage Tree is more than just a symbol of our commitment to safeguard, preserve, and care for our environment. It’s also a reminder for all of us that exquisite things require time, patience and resilience—exactly what we can also expect here in the 3,500-hectare Villar City, a promising masterpiece in progress. It’s just a vast expanse now but it’s all set to become the new center of gravity of Metro Manila,” Villar said.
As Villar--joined by his children Paolo, Mark and Camille, and grandchildren Emma and Cara--switched on the bright, radiant lights of the Heritage Tree, the expansive grounds of Villar City burst into brilliance, enhanced further by a spectacular, colorful fireworks display--truly an apt symbolic preview of the vibrant, progressive future that awaits future residents and locators in this community.
“As the splendor of this tree comes to light, we now work our way towards achieving our ambitious vision for Villar City,” Villar added.
Dynamic nexus
Villar City is a groundbreaking megacity development that spans across 15 cities and towns in Metro Manila and Cavite province. A legacy project of Villar, this masterplanned community is poised to become a dynamic nexus where economic, lifestyle, cultural, and leisure activities converge.
At present, 900 hectares of this integrated, mixed-use development are already “activated” with existing neighborhoods and commercial spaces built by the Villar Group. Other areas of the Villar City, which will have a total of 15 satellite cities, will also have a modern central business district, a Tech Valley, a university town, residential communities, and premier lifestyle hubs, all amidst lush landscapes graced by some 10 million trees.
