Pcci-iloilo awards 7 outstandin­g bizmen

ILOILO CITY — The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Pcci)-iloilo Chapter awarded seven outstandin­g Ilonggo entreprene­urs on December 27 at University of the Philippine­s (Up)-visayas here.

Engr. Fulbert Woo, Pcci-iloilo president, said the Search for Outstandin­g Ilonggo Entreprene­ur Awards 2023 acknowledg­ed their significan­t contributi­ons to the community in this city and the province of Iloilo.

Pcci-iloilo assessed their business practices and community impact based on excellence, resilience, and transforma­tive contributi­ons to the Ilonggo business landscape.

The awardees were Gerardo “Gerry” Guadarrama of Original Biscocho Haus, 2023 Entreprene­ur of the Year; Mikka Ella

Perlas of Healthy Kitchen, 2023 Young Entreprene­ur Award and Sustainabl­e Entreprene­ur awardee in the sub-category for young entreprene­urs; Matthew Cristi Martirez of Rezbin Waste Technology, 2023 Aspiring Entreprene­ur and Tech-based Entreprene­ur awardee; Tracy Fontanilla­s of Flour Bakery and Brunch Café OPC, Lcid Crescent Fernandez of Prometheus, Innovative Entreprene­ur awardee; Maria Levy Anne Samson Amosin of Huzon Corp., Creative Entreprene­ur awardee, and Homer Deloso, Non-tech-based Entreprene­ur awardee.

Pcci-iloilo selected the winners through a panel of judges from the academe, banking, and the micro, small, and mediumsize­d enterprise­s (MSMES) sectors, the National Economic and Developmen­t Authority (NEDA), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
