- Yalao) (Khriscielle E.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced changes to flights to and from Manila and Cotabato City, as well as Dipolog City beginning January next year.

The airline will only mount flights four times weekly instead of daily to and from Cotabato City starting Jan. 19 until April 14, 2024.

The reduction in flights is to vacate the airport for urgent weekend repairs on the Awang Airport runway in Cotabato.

Manila-cotabato-manila flights (PR 2959 or 2960) every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be cancelled in the aforementioned time.

However, ManilaCotabato-manila flights are still available and operational every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Daily flights will be reinstated starting April 15, 2024.

In addition, PAL will be resuming operations of its daily flights via Airbus jet to and from Dipolog City starting Jan. 1, 2024.

This comes after repairs on the Dipolog Airport runway were reportedly completed.

The Manila-dipolog flight (PR 2557) will depart Manila at 5:15 a.m., arriving at Dipolog at 6:45 a.m.

Meanwhile, the Dipolog-manila flight (PR 2558) will leave Dipolog by 7:30 a.m., landing in Manila at 9 a.m.

As such, PAL will no longer operate the Cebu-dipolog-cebu flights beyond Dec. 31, 2023, which served as alternative flights to Dipolog during the runway construction.

Passengers of cancelled flights can reroute to another flights or within 60 days from the original flight with the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class.

Another option is to convert ticket to travel credits equivalent to the unused base fare of the ticket, valid for one year from date of issuance.

Passengers can also refund tickets without penalties through https:// www.philippineairlines.com/covi.../ mypal-hub-request.
