Pasig cites ‘Oplan: Kaayusan’ program
The Pasig City government showcased the achievements of its “Oplan: Kaayusan” (OK) program which celebrated its third anniversary on Friday, April 26. Spearheaded by Mayor Vico Sotto, the program established in 2021 brings the city government's top officials to different barangays to check on the actual situation of residents and programs being implemented.
The city government bared the achievements and positive effects of the program:
• 661 total streets covered
• 44,088 meters of declogged canals
• 7,028 light-emitting diode street lights installed
• 109,800-square meters of painting works • 2,523.78 meters of repaired manhole covers
• 273 dismantled, retired, leaning, and damaged poles replaced
• 5,894 solar lights turned over
• 99,503 bunching low wires and 10,335 kilos of dead wires removed
• 320 cubic meters of garden soil and 19,163 plants planted
• 9,248-square meters of asphalt patching
• 1,013 cubic meters of collected canal debris
• 3,036 square meters of thermoplastic painting
• 13 waterworks
"Bukod sa pagsasaayos ng mga pisikal na imprastraktura sa ating mga daan, layunin din ng proyektong OK sa Pasig na makatulong sa pagpapanatili ng peace and order sa ating siyudad at maging pagpreserba sa kaligtasan ng mga mamamayan (Aside from fixing the physical infrastructures of our roads, OK sa Pasig also aims to help ensure peace and order in our city and preservation of our citizens' safety and welfare)," the city government said.
“Kung noong una ay ang City Engineering Department lamang ang involved sa OK sa Pasig, sa paglipas ng tatlong taon, nadagdagan na rin ang mga ginagawa rito tulad ng pagsama ng Dengue Control, Vermin Control, at marami pang iba! Kasama na rin sa pagbaba ng OK sa Pasig team ang iba pang departamento tulad ng Sanitation Team, Dengue Task Force. Bukod sa mga tanggapan ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Pasig, kasama rin sa mga umiikot ang private service providers para sa kuryente at internet connection (At first, the City Engineering Department is the only sector involved in the implementation of OK, now after three years, more and more departments of the city government are helping in expanding the reach of the program such as the participation of Dengue Control, Vermin Control, and Sanitation Teams during visits. Private service providers in charge of electricity and internet services also join the team in their mission)," it added.
