Victory sees revenue stream from cargo service
Victory Liner Inc. (VLI), the country’s leading transportation provider, said its no-frills cargo delivery service “Drop & Go” is expected to contribute at least nine percent to the company’s revenue amid robust demand, but qualified that it has no plans of diversifying into a logistics provider.
“We aim for a nine percent revenue contribution, reaching close to half a billion pesos,” said VLI President Marivic del Pilar in an email interview with Manila Bulletin Business. She, however, did not mention the timeframe for this target.
“Drop & Go” is a terminal-tot-erminal transportation of goods. “We do not do door to door delivery. Our customers pickup their cargo from our terminal, which makes the pricing low,” she added.
Del Pilar said that this cargo service targets micro, small and medium enterprises and individuals, who aim for faster delivery of goods. “Demand is high, and customers appreciate our convenient pickup model,” she added.
As a no-frills cargo delivery system, the Drop & Go service ensures next-day delivery across Luzon. The service caters to businesses, particularly in e-commerce, seeking quick, hassle-free delivery solutions for perishable items or those aiming to enhance customer service.
Acting as a facilitator between sellers and buyers, “Drop & Go” simplifies order fulfillment challenges with its next-day branch-to-branch delivery, leveraging Victory Liner's extensive network in North Luzon. With its partnership with 2Go, Del Pilar said the VLI service now reaches Visayas and Mindanao.
By offering swift and costeffective cargo services, VLI said that “Drop & Go” allows businesses to focus on core operations, promoting growth and efficiency. For buyers, the service ensures seamless delivery, enhancing overall customer satisfaction and convenience.
“We launched this service during the pandemic and it is doing well. So far so good,” she added.
