Boosting presence in the south
Mindanao car buyers will now get to experience the unique and appealing vehicles of Jetour Auto with the inauguration of two new showrooms in the region. Jetour Auto dealerships are now open in Davao and General Santos City, two of the region’s fastest-growing automotive markets. Combined, Jetour Auto Davao and General Santos City target a network share of 5.4%. Both are managed by Angcore Motor Company, Inc. (AMPI), which is based in General Santos City and led by its President Edgar N. Ang, VP for Operations Antonio M. Ang, and its directors, has been in operation since the 1970s. Consolidating under the Angcore Group in 2010, it has gained extensive knowledge of the local automotive market, particularly the region’s mobility, transport, logistics and enterprise needs and preferences.
The dealer openings for Jetour Auto Davao and General Santos City were attended by city mayor, Lorelie G. Pacquiao; Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc. (JAPI) executives, led by its President, Yves Licup, and Managing Director, Miguelito Jose. Jetour Auto Davao and Jetour Auto General Santos City’s dealership inauguration follows the January 31, 2024 Dealer Commitment Ceremony held at the Enderun Tent in Taguig City. Riding on JAPI’S theme, “Accelerating Success Together,” the 22 Jetour Auto dealers nationwide expressed solidarity and eagerness to meet JAPI’S 2024 targets of 10 Metro Manila dealerships (from the current five) and 14 provincial dealerships (from the current seven) by the end of 2024 in order to achieve overall sales growth of 3,700 vehicles (700 of which would be EVS) in 2024, up from the 1,018 units sold in 2023.
During that January 31 dealer commitment ceremony, Jetour Auto Davao and General Santos City Dealer Principal Antonio Rubi Alberto M. Ang, Vice President for Operations of Angcore Motor Company Inc, were in attendance.
With the Angcore Motor Company behind the two new showrooms, JAPI is confident the company has the necessary resources, manpower, and wisdom to bring the world-renowned Jetour brand of SUVS, C-SUV’S, and EVS into the forefront of the Mindanao mobility market.
