HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra gets top spot in global camera ranking

- By ART SAMANIEGO

In a remarkable achievement, the HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra has clinched the top spot in the global ranking, a testament to its exceptional camera performance. This achievement was earned after the smartphone underwent the rigorous DXOMARK Camera test suite, which evaluated its camera performance from an enduser perspective across various parameters, including photo, video, and zoom quality.

DXOMARK is recognized for offering comprehensive ratings, reviews, and analysis of digital and smartphone cameras and frequently conducts thorough testing and detailed assessments of different types of devices used for imaging and photography. Its criteria involve image quality, performance against different lighting conditions, focus accuracy, and video capabilities. Consumers, journalists, and business professionals worldwide frequently reference Dxomark's methodologies.

The device delivered outstanding results in still image tests across all camera modules, achieving top scores not only for photos but also for zoom wide and tele. It demonstrated an impressive ability to balance detail retention and noise reduction, producing images with precise exposure, a wide dynamic range, and pleasant colors.

The HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra boasts key camera specifications such as a 50MP 1 sensor with a variable aperture lens, Dualpd AF, Sensor-shift OIS for the primary camera, and similarly high-end specs for the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. These specifications are sure to pique the interest of any photography enthusiast.

Notably, the HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra was tested in HDR photo mode, which resulted in better contrast and color rendering. However, the proprietary HUAWEI HDR format limits compatibility with NON-HUAWEI devices.

Aside from the HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra, the HUAWEI Pura 70 and the HUAWEI Pura 70 Pro are also equipped with a new generation of Ultra Lighting XMAGE Camera Imaging System. The powerful hardware of the main camera and telephoto camera of the Ultra Lighting imaging system, combined with the industry's first HUAWEI XD Motion Engine, the HUAWEI Pura 70 Series achieves a breakthrough with the Ultra Speed Snapshot. When shooting high-speed objects in motion, it uses a real-time sensor dual exposure: The short exposure records the details of the moving moment, and the long exposure retains rich background information. Through AI Motion Vector Computing, the images captured by the long and short exposures are matched by their features through Regional Motion Restore, and finally generates a crisp photo with the high-definition qualities of the fleeting moment. With this powerful feature, users can easily freeze the most poignant moments of life.

The HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra also sets new standards with its 200x zoom range, allowing users to capture distant subjects with remarkable precision. Coupled with the device's 10-channel multi-spectrum sensor (a feature it shares with the base Pura 70 and Pura 70 Pro), it delivers professional-grade results even in the most challenging shooting scenarios. The HUAWEI Pura 70 Pro and HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra both support Ultra Lighting Super Macro, which supports a 5cm minimum focus distance of telephoto shooting and a 35X macro zoom. With an impressive zoom feature like this, it gives users the ability to appreciate the miniature worlds around them. Users can capture common objects in everyday life to reveal the mysteries of the microscopic universe With the F2.1 ultra large aperture, you will still be able to explore microscopic wonders in low lighting conditions.

The HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra's camera system has not just excelled, it has set a new benchmark in the smartphone industry. Its prowess in lowlight conditions and its ability to capture stunning images with natural skin-tone rendering and accurate white balance are truly impressive. This achievement highlights HUAWEI'S unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of mobile photography.
