SCOOP TACKLES CALAMBA FOOTBALL FESTIVAL, ADAMSON UNIVERSITY’S SPORTS AWARDS

THE Joaquin M. Chipeco Cup Calamba Football Festival and Adamson University’s 80th Anniversar­y Sports Awards will be the topic of discussion in today’s SCOOP Sa Kamayan weekly session at the Kamayan Restaurant-padre Faura. Former Senator Joey Lina, chairman and president of the Calamba Football Festival Inc. and Mayor Joaquin Chipeco, junior chair of the affair’s organizing committee, head the list of today’s guests that also includes Dr. Servillano Marquez, chair of Adamson’s Sports Awards and Marilou Isip, the schools’ athletic directress. Lina and Chipeco, along with Laguna Football Associatio­n tournament manager Allan Fayson and Philippine Football Federation secretary general Chito Manuel will be discussing the mechanics of the Calamba Football Festival set on February 9-12 at the Calamba town plaza.

JR. NBA 2012 TO CONDUCT FREE CLINICS

THE 2012 Jr. NBA Philippine­s presented by Alaska will hold basketball school clinics for children of all ages from February 4 to 20, 2012 in various public and private schools. School clinics will be held at the British School in Taguig City on February 4, Rizal High School in Pasig on February 9, Paco Catholic School on February 11, Ynares Gym in Binangonan on February 15, Pasig Catholic College on February 16 and Grace Christian College in Quezon City on February 18.
