Artists invited to participate in art

ARTISTS are invited to the Timog Tagalog TuriSining congress/exhibition, a project of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Committee on Visual Arts, in partnership with the Department of Tourism Region IV. The Project is for the upliftment of visual art and the equipment of artists and art educators, particularly in the Southern Tagalog region.

TuriSining is a series of enlightening art activities, educational tours, contests, and other cultural events, which could be useful, especially to the Calabarzon artists (please see enclosed schedule). It runs from September 28 Friday (8 a.m. registration) to September 30 Sunday (5 p.m.) in Tagaytay City.

The joining fee per delegate is only P3,500 covering conference, meals, kit, accommodation, and transport of delegates within Tagaytay during the congress. This fee is exclusive of one’s transport to Tagaytay and back to his point of origin.

Each participant is to bring one painting for the exhibition where they can sell it. The piece should not be larger than 24” x 30” and not smaller than 15” x 20”. Particpants are encouraged to seek the assistance of your government leader/s to sponsor.
