GUNMEN KILL 4 INDON PRISONERS
JAKARTA: Unidentified gunmen forced their way into an Indonesian jail early Saturday and shot dead four prisoners awaiting trial over the death of a soldier, police said. The prisoners were accused of beating and stabbing to death a soldier from the military’s elite Special Forces Command on Tuesday at a nightclub in Yogyakarta in central Java. Yogyakarta police spokeswoman Anny Pudjiastuti said between 10 and 15 gunmen were involved in the attack on the prisoners at the Cebongan Correctional Centre after midnight Friday.
