Citi appoints Filipina to open post

CITI recently announced the appointmen­t of Bea Teh-Tan as Consumer Business Manager for the Philippine­s with immediate effect.

Prior to this appointmen­t, Tan was Credit Payment Products Head managing the consumer finance portfolio, including credit cards and personal loans for the country. She joined Citi in 1998 and has held a variety of roles including Strategic Planning Head, as well as Head for Cards Marketing, Sales and Distributi­on.

Tan replaced Sergio Zanatti who has been appointed Consumer Business Manager for Citi Malaysia. She will report to Anil Wadhwani, Citi Asia Pacific Head for Cards and Personal Loans and Asean Head for Consumer Bank, and to Sanjiv Vohra, Citi’s coun- try officer for the Philippine­s.

A homegrown talent, Tan has been instrument­al in driving the growth of Citi’s consumer banking business by retaining its top market position in credit cards. Under her leadership, Citi has launched a number of award-winning products and forged key partnershi­ps with other industry leaders. As a result, Citi has an enviable portfolio of credit card products as well as personal loans today.

Tan graduated from De La Salle University with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, majoring in Economics and Business Management. She joined Unilever as a Management Trainee in 1993 holding a variety of Product Manager roles before building a career in Citi.
