BPI Family awards Via Mare owner

-

BPI Family Savings Bank (BPI Family) recently awarded Glenda Baretto of Via Mare in leading more than 30 years of successfully elevating Philippine cuisine to global standards during the 5th Go Negosyo Women Entrepreneurship Summit at the World Trade Center Manila.

Genuine love for original Pinoy dishes has inspired Glenda and her husband to establish a restaurant that brings a unique twist to the dishes that Filipinos grew-up loving through Via Mare. The continuous pursuit to bring Philippine food at par with the world’s best has driven Via Mare to explore food business formats such as the truly Filipino coffee shop – Café Via Mare, the chic seafood restaurant—Via Mare Oyster Bar, as well as the Via Mare Ca- tering which served three historic Presidential inaugurations.

“Glenda’s restaurateur vision of not only sharing quality Philippine cuisine but also upholding Filipino culinary excellence makes her an exemplary woman entrepreneur. We recognize not only her success in the restaurant industry but also her significant contributions in upholding Pinoy pride by promoting our Filipino identity in world expositions and international food festivals,” shares Teodoro “TG” Limcaoco, President of BPI Family Savings Bank.
