It is the latest in a series of accolades received by Convergys GABOH this year. The PANAta Awards credits organizations that effectively use the power of communication to build business and to further enhance the advocacy of the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA): “Beyond Truth in Advertising”. GABOH 2 earned a Bronze award in the Advocacy Marketing Integrated Program category, which gives merit to communications initiatives that promote a cause for the good of a community.

Doubling the accomplishments of the previous year, the employeedriven GABOH Year 2 generated more books and school supplies worth P18 million. This was achieved through salary pledges and donations within a three-month campaign period. The bags were distributed to elementary pupils in 36 public schools and communities nationwide, many of of Convergys sites across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Employees also conducted book storytelling sessions. Over 10,000 volunteer hours were spent in the implementation.

Convergys President for Asia truly honored by the local and international recognition that GABOH has been receiving. This is for all our employees who are committed and engaged in giving back to help reduce dropouts and illiteracy. As we approach the third year of this program, we will commit to increasing our efforts so that we continue to bring positive change and demonstrate the Convergys Value of ‘Serving The Community’.”
