Muntinlupa wins Government Efficiency Award
MUNTINLUPA City ranked 3rd in the Government Efficiency National Category for Highly Urbanized Cities at the 5th Regional Competitiveness Summit and Awards Ceremony on August 16 at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City.
With over 145 cities and 1,342 municipalities, the National Competitiveness Center adjudged Muntinlupa City next and Manila as 1st Place, which were ranked on four convergent pillars namely Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, and Resilience by the NCC, through the Regional Competitiveness Committees ( RCCs) of the Department of Trade and Industry.
Muntinlupa improved in the last 2016 to 3rd on 2017 and in the Economic Dynamism from 15th last 2016 to 11th on 2017.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi attributed the recognition to the local government’s effort in improving its LGU processes and transaction procedures. She thanked the NCC for the award and said that it will serve as an inspiration to bring better services in the city.
