Muntinlupa wins Government Efficiency Award

MUNTINLUPA City ranked 3rd in the Government Efficiency National Category for Highly Urbanized Cities at the 5th Regional Competitiv­eness Summit and Awards Ceremony on August 16 at the Philippine Internatio­nal Convention Center, Pasay City.

With over 145 cities and 1,342 municipali­ties, the National Competitiv­eness Center adjudged Muntinlupa City next and Manila as 1st Place, which were ranked on four convergent pillars namely Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastruc­ture, and Resilience by the NCC, through the Regional Competitiv­eness Committees ( RCCs) of the Department of Trade and Industry.

Muntinlupa improved in the last 2016 to 3rd on 2017 and in the Economic Dynamism from 15th last 2016 to 11th on 2017.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi attributed the recognitio­n to the local government’s effort in improving its LGU processes and transactio­n procedures. She thanked the NCC for the award and said that it will serve as an inspiratio­n to bring better services in the city.
