Football coaches conference opens Dec 1
AIMING to improve Philippine - ball Coaches Conference will be held from December 1 to 3 at the in Pasig City.
Local and foreign football Asian Football Confederation (AFC), will serve as the resource speakers in the event hosted by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) in cooperation with the MVP Sports Foundation.
Among the distinguished guests are AFC deputy technical director Wim Koevermans, Football Federation Australia technical director Eric Abrams, Vietnam Under-19 national team head coach Hoang Anh Tuan, Japan Football Association (JFA) coach education director Noriyuki Kawamata, JFA Academy coach Miho Sakao and PFF officials Marlon Maro (technical director), Jose Ariston Caslib (coaching education head) and Aquilino Pastoral III (head of grassroots).
Also included in the pool of speakers are Philippine national head coaches Thomas Dooley (men’s), Letecia “Buda” Bautista ( women’s) and Marnelli “Let” Dimzon (women’s team in Southeast Asian Games 2017).
“There are many aspiring coaches in the country. We hope that they can learn from these learn,” said PFF general secretary Edwin Gastanes.
Starting the event will be the updates regarding the national teams’ current setup and the best practices used by Vietnam in the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) Under-20 World Cup.
The development of youth players together with the discussion regarding the grassroots and the national youth squads will be the highlights of the second day.
The final day will focus on women’s football development along with the continuous education plan for AFC and PFF licensed coaches.
