MANY celebritie­s have already called on their social media supporters to rally behind Rachel Peters via online votes for Sunday’s 66th Miss Universe pageant. Among the first was Maine Mendoza who posted: “I believe in the power of AlDub Nation! Let’s continue to support our candidate for Miss Universe 2017 Ms. Rachel Peters by using the hashtag #Miss Universe #Philippine­s Go Rachel!” Vice Ganda ( Jose Marie Viceral) tweeted: “Big favor please! Tweet ur support to Rachel Peters and use #MissUniver­se #Philippine­s. This will help her secure a spot. Pleassssse­eee!”

Anne Curtis, who is among the most- followed celebritie­s in the world with 9.97 million followers simply tweeted, “Good luck to our very own Rachel Peters! You got this! # MissUniver­se # Philippine­s.”

Others who made the same call were Gretchen Ho and Bianca Gonzales.

The celebritie­s’ posts made Miss Universe Philippine­s the most talked about topic on Twitter soon after the pageant’s online voting opened.

In 2016, Miss Thailand earned a slot in the Top 6 when she garnered the most number of online votes.

With the maximum number of votes at 10 per day, the public can continue to vote Peters via Facebook or the official Miss Universe website until November 26.

The Miss Universe pageant will air live from Las Vegas on ABS- CBN Monday morning, November 27.
