Gov’t subsidizes P70K for Christine Villas beneficiar­ies

THE National Government is going to subsidize P70,000 out of the P950,000 value for each - tine Villas, the third housing project announced under the new Armed Forces of the Philippine­s/ Philippine National Police (AFP/ PNP) Housing Program.

This announceme­nt was made during its groundbrea­king ceremonies led by President Duterte and the National Housing Au- thority (NHA) General Manager Marcelino Escalada Jr., together on February 28, 2018.

While the housing project is intended for uniformed person- nel of the AFP, GM Escalada stressed that other government employees may apply if the demand for the housing units turns out less than expected.

“Sometimes the demand is very high and the supply is very few. If there are open slots, then we will open it to PNP personnel and other government employees,” GM Escalada said.

The project is set to be completed in December 2019.
