Accept the truth: AlDub is extinct!

- RONNIE CARRASCO 3RD

WHO says that only in politics does an impassioned citizen see a fragmented nation?

In showbiz, fans have seen the so- called AlDub nation crumble as they accuse Maine Mendoza (aka Yaya Dub) to be the cause of its disintegration, worse, extinction.

The tone of Maine’s open letter which she had published in social media over a year ago more than indicated her wanting to break loose from the loveteam. She just couldn’t stand the pressures and the expectations of having to smile even if she wanted to frown.

And yes, even to the extent of faking her feelings toward Alden Richards where there honestly none at all to begin with.

The Dubsmash Queen has been getting the flak anew, this time for partnering with Coco Martin in their hopeful entry to this year’s MMFF. Coco’s nightly TV series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” is, of course, Alden Richards’ rival show over at GMA.

In a recent interview with Maine, the AlDub netizens got even more provoked after the actress laid her options open about doing a guest appearance in the long-running teleserye. Simply for saying “Tingnan

natin (Let’s see)” twice, irate Aldenatics labeled Maine as “walang delicadeza atutangnaloob.”

Let Vignettes share its two cents’ take on this.

For the fans, to think that the AlDub loveteam still exists to this day is a complete denial of an obvious truth. If it were a word in the dictionary, it certainly is obsolete; if an animal, extinct.

If this is the premise, Vignettes believes that Maine won’t be held liable for committing contractual infractions with regard to her guesting if ever.

Moreover, Maine’s cameo exposure is inevitably part of the whole movie promo package as is Coco’s possible guesting on “Eat Bulaga” where his major co-star Vic Sotto is host.

A showbiz insider couldn’t help but remark: “Hindiimposibleng kahit walk- on lang,e, mag- guest si Maine sateleserye ni Coco. Diba, tambakannaman yunngmgaartistakahitlaosna?

Sakakelumabasdunsi Maine ohindi, will she help Alden’s show rate higher than Coco’s?”

As of press time, Yassi Pressman, Coco’s love interest in the teleseries and a self- confessed fan of Maine, was quoted to have said she couldn’t wait for the latter’s guest appearance.
