NORTH EASTERLY WINDS TO PREVAIL OVER PH
PARTLY cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers will persist on parts of the country because of the north easterly winds and the easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration. The state weather bureau said the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Aurora, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and the rest of Cagayan will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to north easterly winds, while central and western Visayas, Palawan and Occidental Mindoro will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the easterlies. Strong gale force winds will affect Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan, Northern coast of Cagayan, and Ilocos provinces, bringing rough to very rough coastal waters. Meanwhile, the rest of Metro Manila was expected to have generally fair weather until Tuesday.
