NORTH EASTERLY WINDS TO PRE­VAIL OVER PH

PARTLY cloudy to cloudy skies with iso­lated rain show­ers will per­sist on parts of the coun­try be­cause of the north easterly winds and the east­er­lies, ac­cord­ing to the Philip­pine At­mo­spheric, Geo­phys­i­cal and Astro­nom­i­cal Ser­vices Ad­min­is­tra­tion. The state weather bu­reau said the prov­inces of Ilo­cos Norte, Ilo­cos Sur, La Union, Pan­gasi­nan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Moun­tain Prov­ince, Ifu­gao, Kalinga, Aurora, Is­abela, Nueva Viz­caya, Quirino and the rest of Ca­gayan will ex­pe­ri­ence partly cloudy to cloudy skies with iso­lated rains due to north easterly winds, while cen­tral and western Visayas, Palawan and Oc­ci­den­tal Min­doro will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with iso­lated rain show­ers or thun­der­storms be­cause of the east­er­lies. Strong gale force winds will af­fect Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan, North­ern coast of Ca­gayan, and Ilo­cos prov­inces, bring­ing rough to very rough coastal wa­ters. Mean­while, the rest of Metro Manila was ex­pected to have gen­er­ally fair weather un­til Tues­day.
