Koko weds for 2nd time

“SWEET, simple and very thoughtful,” is how bride-to-be Kathryn Yu describes her fiancé Koko Pimentel, known to the rest of the country as the “first second- generation Senate president” after his father and namesake Aquilino Pimentel Jr.

The public briefly saw this softer side of the re- electionist senator when he was first in line on Day 1 of the filing of certificates of candidacy on October 11.

Arriving early at the Commission on Elections with Yu by his side, Pimentel declared, “Ikakasalkasiako next week kayamaaga akonag - file ( I filed early because I’m getting married next week).”

All eyes will be on Anna Kathryna Yu, 35, when she walks down the aisle in her dream Paul Cabral wedding gown to say “I do” to her

prominent groom, 54, in civil ceremonies at the Coconut Palace this Thursday.

This will be Pimentel’s second wedding, following the annulment of his marriage with former beauty queen Jewel May Lobaton in January.

The senator wed Lobaton in 2000. He had already been separated from his ex-wife for several years when he met Yu.
