AC Health boosts health portfolio with AIDE
AYALA Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health) has invested in home- health mobile application AIDE to expand its technology portfolio and boost its health technology solutions.
In a filing on Wednesday, Ayala Corp’s healthcare unit said that through AIDE, “patients can book doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals to render healthcare services in their homes.”
These “medical consultations, nursing care, physical therapy, caregiving, [laboratory] extraction and interpretation, and even veterinary care,” it added. AC Health’s investment in AIDE comes after it established earlier this year its in-house app Vigos, which allows Ayala employees to track their medical history, control health benefits and schedule appointments with doctors, among others.
It also comes more than a year after the subsidiary invested in Food and Drug Administration-licensed MedGrocer, which permits patients to order medicines online and have these delivered the next day.
Ayala Corp. shares rose to P14.50 to end at P915 apiece on Wednesday.
